Skyrim has been around for thousands of years. The landscape hasn't changed much recently, but over time in Skyrim many mountain ranges, and even extreme dikes have formed all over the lands. Skyrim has quickly changing weather patterns as some people can seriously control the weather. Over many years the force of that water and rain have moving down the mountains have created tributaries and rivers throughout the landscape. Skyrim is mostly a rocky or mountain style environment, with a glacial area completely covered in ice.
After
studying the Skyrim environment I think the creators have tried to keep it
rather pure. By that I mean what appears to have formed the environment I saw
in Skyrim were natural causes. The mountains from birds' eye view seemed to be
formed from converging plates. From the aerial view of Skyrim there are ridges
that follow lines, which appear to be similar to our own plates on Earth.

Skyrim
is a kind of unique environment to judge looking forward into the future. They
have yet to discover combustion engines, steam-powered engines (although they
do have steam power), therefore what is now walking paths and ruts from wagons
could become paved roads and walkways. Any sort of increase in power production
will greatly affect the environment of Skyrim, as evident of our current
environmental state.
Skyrim
1000 Years From Now:
1000 Years From Now in Skyrim I believe there could be many changes. I believe if their history can be modeled by our own at all then they could be through an industrial revolution and be moving into more adept technology. This would presumably result in paved roads, automobiles, and many other things resulting in negative effects on the environment. Skyrim could be in trouble in the future, or they could ease into this technology and maintain their old fashioned ways.
It could take something dramatic like the discovery of a new metal while mining; otherwise Skyrim will maintain their usually sound environment. Few things, the travel of people by foot and cart, as well as natural and irregular storms influence this world. For this reason I believe we could predict the future of the Skyrim terrain by studying the plates and rain patterns developing streams and canyons.

It is hard to judge the future of Skyrim, whether they will progress into the future and embrace industry or if they will keep their ways that has worked for so long. I believe that the environment will stay pretty similar and people will not pursue this new technology. Skyrim is an old fashioned place with traditions, and I believe the ruts that are formed in the pathways now will only be different in the future if the plates shift and change their path altogether.
